Answers:

How do I make an appointment?

Please feel free to contact me for any further information or an appointment:

Email: koula@tutamail.com

I generally reply to emails as soon as possible or within 24 hours.

Please note, I am currently only offering skype sessions.

What are the fees?

Individual counseling (50 minute session) – €70
Couples counseling (70 minute session) – €90
Group therapy – to be discussed
Skype sessions – €70

Please note, this is a cash practice and all payments will need to be made at the end of each session. Payment for Skype sessions is to be made in advance by bank transfer.

What is the cancellation policy?

I require a 24 hour cancellation. In cases of individuals not showing up or canceling less than 24 hours in advance, a full session will be charged. Please note, this does not include medical or extreme emergencies.

Are the fees covered by health insurance?

As both my degrees are from American universities, it is highly unlikely you will be reimbursed by your health insurance. Please check with them directly regarding this matter.

Please remember, even if your health insurance covers therapy, this is a cash practice and all payments will need to be made by you at the end of each session. I do not file insurance claims.

As I do not work with health insurance companies, I can confirm that the content of our sessions will remain completely confidential.

How regular are sessions?

There is not really a set number. By experience, sessions are usually once a week or every other week, but this will depend on each individual. We can discuss this before we begin and then adjust it according to your needs.

What issues can I discuss in therapy?

Therapy sessions are a safe, confidential place where one should be able to discuss any issues that are concerning them. My aim in the sessions is to create a safe space for individuals where they are comfortable, safe, and not judged, and feel they can bring up and work through any issues. Some common issues brought up in therapy are (please note, this is by far not an exhaustive list):

  • Depression
  • Loneliness
  • Anxiety, fears
  • Panic
  • Relationship issues
  • Expatriate adjustment issues
  • Grief and loss
  • Personal growth
  • Emotional conflict
  • Low self esteem
  • High stress levels
  • Blocked creativity

Are sessions confidential?

Yes, the content of your session, as well as your personal information is confidential and is protected by laws and ethical standards followed by mental health professions. The only times a mental health professional will break confidentiality are in cases where you would pose a threat to yourself or others, or if it is court mandated.

Due to the fact that I do not work with any health insurance companies, I can confirm that the content of our sessions will remain completely confidential (other than the exceptions mentioned above).

Do you prescribe medication?

No, counselors do not prescribe medication to their clients, only psychiatrists do so. If necessary, you can be referred to one.

Please note, I am currently only offering skype sessions.
